ABSTRACT

The Apostle granted an unquestionable value to the science, where in his analyses and reflections in this field carried out some valuations characteristic of the medical sciences. The Teacher had a high concept of the mission of the same ones, fear that it not only tried in his literal work, but rather it also applied in the battle fields. In their writings he makes reference to the employment of the green medicine and the hygiene of the work, conferring a special meaning to all the related with the preventive medicine, at the same time that he worried to stand out the advance of the Cuban medical sciences of their time. This aspect of its life motivated the current investigation that has as objective to value some of José Martí's conceptions about medical sciences. For the development of this topic 12 articles located in books and magazines and in digital formatwere revised.
