ABSTRACT

Today, breast cancer has become the most frequent cancer among women. The genesis of this disease is related to well known risk factors reported in international Medical Journals. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that those mentioned as causative for breast cancer in these studies are not always present in all group populations. For example, certain risk factors such as early menarche, late menopause, advanced maternal age and nulliparity do not seem to be present in our population. There are only a few national studies regarding other risk factors associated to breast cancer than those reported in international journals. The following review is a comparison between the national and international studies of what has been published on risk factors that may develop breast cancer.
