Vulvar Syringomas: A Case Report and Review

ABSTRACT

Syringomas are benign tumours of the ecrinne sweat glands, which generally affects womens after puberty. The most common clinical presentation of that is the presence of multiple firm papules of skin-color, with one to three milimeter in diameter. The sites of predilection are lower eyelids and cheeks. Syringoma of the vulva is a rare disorder and only few cases have been reported in the literature. We present a case of a 23-years-old women with eight month history of pruritic skincolored papules on the vulva, who describes increase in size during the pre-menstrual period and in the summer. Microscopic examination of the excisional biopsy was according to the diagnosis of syringoma.
We performed a literature review of this condition.
