ABSTRACT

A case of a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma is presented in which the first manifestation was a bone metastasis. The diagnosis was established by an analytic study, bone radiography of tibia and fibula; as well as the aspiration biopsy of the liver and osteolitic lesions. The ultrasound was of great help in the confirmation of the disease. The infrequency of the bone metastasis in the hepatocellular, carcinoma as well as the difficulty of this type of presentation for an early diagnosis of the tumor was commented.
