Arterial macroaneurysm, branch retinal vein occlusion.

ABSTRACT

We present a 62 year old hypertensive woman that came to our institution referring miodesopsy and diminished visual acuity in her right eye. She presented an arterial macroaneurysm in the superior temporal arcade in the right eye and received argon laser treatment. Three years later the patient presented another macroaneurysm in the same arcade and resolved spontaneously, recovering her 20/20 visual acuity in both occasions. Four years later she had an ischemic branch retinal artery occlusion in the inferior temporal arcade and non ischemic in the superior temporal arcade of the same eye.
