ABSTRACT

We describe a 23 year-old caucasian male who presented with a depigmented lesion in the scalp compatible with halo nevus or Sutton’s nevus stage ii , two years after resection of a superficial spreading melanoma. An extensive review of the literature was performed focusing on the different presentations and theories concerning the behavior of this phenomenon and its relation with malignant melanoma.
