Modified-Valsalva maneuver applied to paroxysm of supraventricular tachycardia

ABSTRACT
The Valsalva maneuver is recommended as part from the initial treatment to the paroxysm of non-hemodynamic-compromise supraventricular tachycardia in patients assisted in urgency departments. Cardioversion rate during its application is variable, being the modified one in combination with leg elevation to place the patient in Trendelenburg position, which has showed higher cardioversion rates. A case whom was applied modified. Is propose the exhibition of a case in that this maneuver is applied modified in the service of urgency of primary attention with good results.
