ABSTRACT

José Martí's life is very well-known from his revolutionary work. However, that titanic task rested about a health smashed by multiple sufferings. Motivated by the incomplete knowledge of the students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Bayamo about José Martí's health, evidenced in the results of an applied questionnaire, the present bibliographical revision starting from analytic-synthetic and historical-logical methods with the objective of analyzing the main problems of health that affected to the apostle José Martí was performed. With this aim, 10 bibliographical sources were examined which allowed to conclude that José Martí's health was characterized by a visible deterioration due to multiple illnesses like: sarcocele, sarcoidosis, chronic catarrhal conjunctivitis with fall of the right lid and frequent migraines, sharp broncolaringitis and inguinal adenophaties.
