ABSTRACT

We probed the use of monoclonal antibodies against necrosis tumoral factor in patients of diabetes mellitus type 2 propensed to cataract. We used two groups; one pilot of 24 patients (12 women and 12 men) vs. One homogeneous for control. The only variant was the use of monoclonal antibodies in pilot group. After a year of “follow-up” the pilot group have not cataract, and the control group everyvady developt cataract in diferent grades. Because of the encorageous results we propous the use of monoclonal antibodies against necrosis tumoral factor for the prevention of cataract in high risk groups like diabetec type 2.
