ABSTRACT

Supero-inferior ventricle is an extremely rare disease, with an incidence of less than 0.1% of all congenital heart disease: It is an alteration of the final spatial position of the ventricles, which is due to the horizontal location of the interventricular septum. Until 2010, there had only been reported two. The nature of the disease is not well understood; there are several theories that try to explain its embryological origin, often associated with other defects, including double outlet right ventricle and lesions of the pulmonary or tricuspid valve, such as stenosis. These patients may not have an associated heart defect. We report the clinical course of a patient in whom this disease was diagnosed.
