Cutaneous Manifestations of Myeloma-Associated Systemic Amyloidosis

ABSTRACT

The secondary systemic amyloidosis associated to myeloma is the form of amyloidosis with greater clinical range and with the worst prognosis. The mucocutaneous manifestations are frequently the first to appear and their earlier diagnosis will help for a better control this severe condition.We present a 73 years old male who complains of purpuric lesions in flexural areas and eyelids. He also presented a macroglossia and he also complained of recent lumbalgia, asthemia and weight loss.
