ABSTRACT

The diagnosis of meningiomas has been much discussed since its first definition as an extra-axial tumor. In the same way, there are different histological and imaginological classification schemes, where it is vital for neurosurgeons in the desire to obtain better information for their surgical removal if required and from the postoperative evaluative point of view, where the MRI contributes data Essential of descriptive-topographic and morpho-kinetic type with the use of gadolinium that demonstrates its meningeal origin and degree of vascular and parenchymal involvement. All this varies depending on the specific type of tumor and its forms of presentation, so it is necessary an adequate evaluation in modern imaging, which grows exponentially.
