ABSTRACT

Goal: Analyze the health system in Mexico and compare the system with the following countries: Costa Rica, Paraguay, Britain, Canada and Germany. Methods: We conducted a substantial literature review concerning health systems of the countries mentioned above mainly basing inquiry seeking health indicators. Results: The analysis allows the identification of relevant data that tell us about the little evolution and organization within the health care system compared to many countries, we take an example that during the year 2013 the percentage of GDP spent on health was 6.2 while in the other countries surveyed this is above 9. It is undeniable that the results of the Mexican health system has improved, especially with the creation of the Seguro Popular. However, we must recognize that there are considerable disparities between the various Mexican states in terms of its ability to manage the Seguro Popular, as well as ongoing problems to identify sufficient to meet the growing demand resources. Moreover, we can not think that this program can solve all the problems of the Mexican health system. Conclusion: The health system in each country is essential, though not always meet the real health needs of the population, achieve modify the system is certainly a big challenge, but if you work together with government institutions and people can make big changes.
