ABSTRACT

These comments to Pardos’ target-paper are meant to make some critical remarks to his arguments about the role images play as the structural basis of thinking. Even though the paper offers a thesis which might support an original and important line of research, we believe it is still mandatory to specify the nature of the so-called mental images, the type of evidence needed to sustain its existence, as well as the theoretical ne necessity to propound metaphysical entities in order to account for phenomena traditionally considered as “imagination”.
