ABSTRACT

Cutaneous horn is a circumscribed, conical, markedly hypertrophic hyperkeratotic lesion protruding above the skin surface. Multiple conditions can be found on the base of this dermatosis. Th e case a 68 year old patient who presented a cutaneous horn on the scalp is communicated, on the base showed the presence of keratoacanthoma in involution phase. Cutaneous horns are fascinating lesions with medical implications so the importance of diagnosis is not the entity, but the underlying condition.
