ABSTRACT

Fidel Castro Ruz is considered as one of the most important Cuban thinkers of the twentieth century. He had an intense revolutionary and cultural life which has been closely related to the medical education, the Latin American Medical School and the Cuban international medical collaboration. In his work as commander and leader of the Cuban revolution he can be seen as a universal man, constituting an inexhaustible source of knowledge that is very necessary for the study of the processes and the phenomena of the reality and to the educational training of the new man that humanity needs. This research is aimed at demonstrating how the principles of the Cuban public health are stated and focused on the medical education, Latin American Medical Schools and the international medical collaboration throughout the thinking of the historical leader of the Cuban revolution. The education and medical collaboration institute a cardinal element in the recognition and international respect that Cuba has won in the world, as essence of the revolutionary Cuban process and of Fidel Castro Ruz.
