ABSTRACT

Mucocele is a chronic, expanding, mucosa lined lesion of the para nasal sinus characterized for mucous retention. Prominent frontal deformity caused by mucoceles is a relatively uncommon condition. And this deformity needs aggressive surgery to correct the tumor and to obtain a good aesthetic result. We will present three cases with frontal deformity and aesthetic correction treated successful with open approach. Objectives: Removal of the tumor and to obtain a nice aesthetic result. Methods: A total of 3 patients were treated at the Jalisco Plastic Surgery Institute with osteoplasty through, coronal flap, and sinus exclusion. Results: We will show three cases in which we can obtain appropriate correction of the mucocele and good aesthetic correction of the frontal deformity. Conclusions: The technique utilized obtains perfect removal of the mucocele and nice aesthetic result.
