ABSTRACT

We present the case of a 1 month old patient without history of ingestion of a foreign body, apparently an older brother “frequently approached to play at the cradle of the boy”. The patient did not show data of acute abdomen, the x-ray in AP and Lateral projection revealed the presence of a rectal foreign body located at the rectal ampula; by means of rectal exploration we tried to locate the sharp foreign body, which was extracted with an hemostatic clamp.
