ABSTRACT

Objetive: characterize the adverse drug reactions (ADR)in hospitalized bigger adults. CITED, 2011-2014, in patients hospitalized in the CITED during the analyzed period, describing them characteristic of the (ADR) in bigger adults hospitalized according to variable selected sociodemographic and identifying the pharmacological groups and drugs related with ADR in hospitalized bigger adults.
Method: he/she was carried out a study observational, descriptive, traverse and retrospective.
Results: the reports of suspicions of ADR increased with the age, more than half of the suspicions of ADR they took place in the feminine sex, the responsible drugs groups of producing the biggest quantity in suspicions of DRA were the antimicrobial, those of the nervous system and those corresponding to the group of blood and hematopoietic organs.
Conclusions: the ADR is frequent in the hospitalized grown-ups, for what its report becomes necessary to be able to establish the strategies in each case. As part of the drug surveillance system, it allows a security in the handling of the drugs for a rational use in this group.
