ABSTRACT

A literature review was carried out on yellow fever, with the purpose of exposing an update of this disease that affects many countries of the world today, being considered as a reemerging disease and despite being shown to be curable and still preventable with total eradication of transmission has not been achieved, nor an awareness in the population, which has an emotional, social and economic cost for the health services that involve their attention. Taking into account that Cuba as a country collaborates in more than 70 countries in the areas of health, education, physical culture and others, it was considered necessary to update the issue.
