ABSTRACT

Dental traumatisms are events that frequently happen and are considered an important problem of public health. With the objective of characterizing the dental traumatisms from an up-to-date biopsychosocial conception, 12 bibliographies were revised. The infantile abuse has transformed into a predisposing factor of a great number of cases of traumatisms and that the dentist should constantly be overcome to carry out a correct diagnosis and treatment before a traumatized patient, guaranteeing an ethically valid performance.
