Conocimiento de la Influenza A H1N1 y medio de comunicación adecuado para informar a la población

ABSTRACT

Background: the increasing of supect and confi rm cases in the metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara in2009. Th e problem with the infl ueza is that it is here to stay, and the problem is not the virus, but the population that guard down and have relaxed the measures of prevention, and there for we mustto retake the last ones. Objective: request information among populationabout the knowldge and factors of risk to avoid H1N1 infl uenza and to know the most appropriate media to give the information. Material and Method: descriptive study, we create a poll to be applyed among population of 18 years and older, in theyre addresses, by sampling of convinience. The prosesing of data that we got, was relized in electronic form at Epi-Info 2000. Results: of the 14100 surveyed people58.5% (8255) were women, 41.4% (5845) werw men, about marital status 64.8% were married (9141)24.2% werw single. Educational resume; 37% have only elementary school(5230), 32.6% have junior hugh (4600), 14.3% have high school (2017), 6.2% have a PhD (880) 6.5% were illitarate (925). More than 70% determined that illness is transmited by contact with the fluids of sick people, however the other 14% still believe that pork meat is the causative of this deseace. TV was the media which population surveyed knew about infl uenza with 92.4% (13.033). Discussion: It requires to enlarge the study to another areas and regions to determine if the media is equal upon the state.
