Effectiveness of rehabilitation in postural control affectations at the first year of life

ABSTRACT

Introduction: The early diagnosis and the rehabilitation in children with neurodevelopmental risk factors allows, through the neuroplasticity, develop their fullest potential.
Objective: Demonstrate the effectiveness of rehabilitation program in children with postural control affectations in the first year of life.
Method: Was a quasiexperimental research in the period: January-December/2015 in the Department of Neurodevelopment at the "Policlínico Moncada" in Cárdenas, Matanzas. Sample composed of 77 children whit risk factors, examined using Vojta’s postural reactions for diagnosis and treatment,examined at the age of one monthand tracking every 3 months until they attained the first year of life.
Results: of the 77 patients the 80,51 % achieved the compensation and a big percent reduced the degree of the affectation. In the analysis was used Chi2 (X2) with the obtaining of significant results when p ˂0,05.
Conclusions: The integral rehabilitation program was able to significantly reduce in childrenthe altered postural control.
