ABSTRACT

An exploratory cross-sectional study aimed at identifying the level of knowledge of patients with vascular risk factors regarding cerebrovascular diseases was carried out at “Juan Bruno Zayas” policlinic from Cifuentes municipality during 2015. Level of knowledge in most of the patients was inadequate in relation to the term stroke, risk factors, symptoms and attitude towards them, which prove the existing training needs in the population studied, as part of the control and prevention strategy of cerebrovascular diseases.
