ABSTRACT
Information is power and in health services it should also be used based on knowledge and its socialization. This paper describes the systematization and development of the thematic website on sexually transmitted infections, including human immunodeficiency virus infection, based on the need to create a virtual space that collects the most important and up-to-date information about the disease. It high lights the particularities and tools used and the services available to users. The site remained in this period among the most visited of Infomed. It included in its space, for more than five years, a discussion forum that was accessed by more than a thousand people. Experiences and practical recommendations for this type of project are expressed.
