ABSTRACT

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor of the skin, generally is very slow-growing, minimal soft tissue invasiveness, a high cure rate and doesn’t usually compromise a vital risk because it has an extremely low metastatic potential, estimated at 0.0028 to 0.5%. However, there are cases in which their local aggressiveness is very important, and it get to destroy deep structures in a short period of time.
The purpose of this article is to describe the molecular, clinical, evolutionary and histological features present in an aggressive basal cell carcinoma and metastatic basal cell carcinoma.
