ABSTRACT

Introduction: in Cuba, the follow-up and control the illness centers the activity of promotion, control and prevention the population health and handle of domestic and wild animal, today roots this responsibility the diagnostic in Provincial Centers of Hygiene and Epidemiology of each territory in particular. Objective: to characterize exert in Rabies handle by doctors and nurses of family. Methods: the study corresponds to project of development realized the period 2012-2017, the researcher sustenance from the dialectic conception-materialist, for the obtaining the data and processing of the information employed the statistical method Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for Windows. Results: regarding the surveys realized to doctors and nurses the family resulted to be unsuitable the knowledge of appearances evaluated. With regard to the species alone transmit they are recognized in an appropriate way the canines for 100% of doctors and male nurses; the mongoose for 100% and 89,2 % respectively. Conclusions: in general form, in all the inquiries realized to different groups of studies, manifest that exert in rabies handle, is insufficient by fault of preparation in this entity and insufficient divulging the subject.
