Epidemiología de los tumores testiculares en derecho habientes del IMSS atendidos en tercer nivel en el Noreste en el periodo 1999-2005

ABSTRACT

Introduction: There are few reports about testicle tumors epidemiology in the country, we analyzed IMSS patients attended in the north east hospital from 1999 to 2005, the study is observational, descriptive, retrospective, longitudinal and without directions. Material and methods: Men with histopathology diagnostic of cancer of testicle, IMSS patients take cared in the north east hospital (Monterrey) during the study period from December 1999 to December 2005. Results: A total of 119 patients (100%), by year 15 cases (12.6%) in 1999, 26 cases (21.8%) in 2000, 22 cases (18.4%) in 2001, 17 cases (14.2%) in 2002, 15 cases (12.6%) in 2003, 21cases (17.6%) in 2004, 3 cases (2.5%) in 2005. By states: Nuevo León 89 cases (74.7%), Coahuila 22 cases (18.4%) and Tamaulipas 8 cases (6.7%). The range of age was since 12 months old, until 73 years old, with media of 36 years old. The presence by age groups: from 0 to 4 years old, was of 7 cases (5.8%), 10 to 14 years old 2 cases (1.6%), 15 to 19 years old 11 cases (9.2%), 20 to 24 years old 33 cases (27.7%), 25 to 29 years old 27 cases (22.6%), 30 to 34 years old 20 cases (16.8%), 35 to 39 years old 5 cases (4.2%), 40 to 44 years old 7 cases (5.8%), 45 to 49 years old 4 cases (3.3%), 50 to 54 years old 1 case (0.8%), 65 to 69 years old 1 case (0.8%) and 70 to 74 years old 1 case (0.8%). The clinic stages at the moment of diagnostic: 40 cases in stage I (33.6%) of 39 cases (97.5%) evolution was satisfactory and 2 cases present bad evolution and progression; in stage II (32.7%) and 38 cases in stages III (31.9%) and 1 case in stage IV (0.8%); the principal clinic sings and symptoms referred at the moment of diagnostic were presented in 95 cases (79.8%) as a clinic typical features and 24 cases (20.1%) as atypical clinic features. The treatment was radical orquiectomy in 111 cases (93.2%) and in two cases tumorectomy by laparatomy (1.6%), biopsy of atypical ganglions in 2 cases, we realized in combined form laparotomy and the orchiectomy and without treatment in 2 cases (1.6%). The evolution to the patients, stage I they evolved favorably and two cases present bad evolution and progression of disease; 39 cases in stage II, 11 cases (28.8%) evolved bad; of stage III, only 15 cases (39.4%) their evolution were satisfactory and 23 patients evolved bad. Conclusion: The incidence in the population insured (IMSS) in Nuevo León, was reported by every 100,000 habitants by year and a accumulate risk of 6.7 by every 100,000 habitants from the 2006.
