ABSTRACT

Introduction: the specialization of second grade offers the professional a systemic training for the solution of the main problems of health.
Objective: characterization for second grade specialization for professionals of Pedro Borrás Astorga Polyclinic.
Method: a dialectical materialistic method was carried out of Pedro Borrás Astorga Polyclinic, Pinar del Río, in the period January to March 2018. They were used in the investigation different methods for the search and prosecution of the information: theoretical, empiric and statistical (descriptive).
Results: second grade specialization was characterization for DAFO technical and actions in the achievement of a high level of knowledge, quality in the services borrowed and bigger social commitment.
Conclusions: the actions for second grade specialization for professionals at Pedro Borras Astorga Polyclinic it is an opportunity to increase the scientific grade of their professionals.
