ABSTRACT

Professional improvement is a university task involving a series of processes that create a permanent education pathway for the human resources leaving the higher education centers. The objective of this work was to carry out an update on professional improvement in the fields of medical sciences in general and particularly of anesthesiology, a fact that will contribute to the increase of efficiency, quality and productivity at work. Postgraduate education is a set of teaching-learning processes aimed at ensuring the training of university graduates to complement, update and deepen their knowledge and skills, directly associated to professional practice, scientific and technical advances and needs of the institution where they work. Professional improvement is one of the attainable goals for improving the results pursued in the teacher strategy achieved, the necessary professionalism, and the best way to teach.
