ABSTRACT

It is an idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease, this disease affects the colon and rectum,men and women have the same risk. The beginning is mainly in the second and fourth decade of life, but there is a third peak at 70 years old.The diagnosis is based on clinical, radiological and endoscopic criteria.
