ABSTRACT

We reported a case of a 59 year-old female patient which was admitted in the Plastic Surgery Department of San Juan de Dios Hospital due to third degree burns hat affected 25% of total body surface. After 48 hours of a red blood cell transfusion, the patient started with dyspnea and hypotension which required mechanical ventilation and vasopressors. After considering other causes, the most probably diagnosis was transfusionrelated acute lung injury (TRALI).
