ABSTRACT

Gynecology of girls and adolescents is one of the most sensitive branches of Pediatrics and Gynecology, because of the ages and nature of topics included in this area. With the goal of characterizing Sexual Transmitted Diseases detected in girls in the ¨Infantojuvenil¨ consult of Bayamo, a descriptive, transversal, serie of cases epidemiologic study was carried out from August 2016 to July 2017. Population: 240 patients attended in the consult, Sample: 10 patients with Sexual Transmitted Diseases. Studied variables were: age, chief complaint, kind of infection, microbiological isolates, treatment, follow up and family participation in consultation. Theoretic, empiric and statistical methods were used. Collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis (absolute and relative frequencies) and statistical, SP SS22 software for Windows. Results: Adolescents between 14 and 15 years old predominated (6/10), acuminatumcondyloma was diagnosed in 100% of patients, gardnerellavaginalis was most isolated germ( 7/10) and the most used treatment was topic podophyllin (100%), followed by specific therapy according to microbiological isolates(90%). Conclusions: All cases of the serie presented acuminatumcondylomas, most of them recovered after treatment. Specialties follow up of these patients still continues.
