Strategies as a tool in the scientific development of nursing

ABSTRACT

Background: The Strategy is a management tool that facilitates procedures and techniques with a scientific base, which are used in an iterative and trans-functional way, they help to achieve a proactive interaction of the Organization with its Environment, contributing to achieve effectiveness in the satisfaction of the target audience´s needs to whom its activity is directed.
Objective: to analyze the strategy as a tool in the scientific development of nursing.
Methods: a bibliographic review was carried out with the method of bibliographic analysis, through a search made without language restrictions, since the year 1944 in which the first study related to the subject was published, until the present time, year 2017, following a chronological order in the analysis. The terms that were used for the search, located in the DeCS, were: Infirmary, theories, Sciences in Data Bases: Lilacs, Medline, PubMed and SciELO in which 254 published documents were identified, of them 24 documents that respond in a timely manner to the objective were selected for this review, among these documents there are thesis (10) and national and foreign scientific articles (14).
Conclusions: the state of the art of the process of formation and development of the investigative competencies, provided to the authors a set of regularities that favor them the construction of an operative definition of strategy as scientific result in nursing.
