ABSTRACT

Different surgical techniques have been suggested for the treatment of gingival recessions; The subepithelial connective tissue graft is considered one of the treatments for root coverage, since it allows favorable aesthetic results. There are occasions in which it is necessary to perform interventions, as well as an additional surgical site, which may influence the acceptance of the patient for the procedures, so the root coverage by the use of an acellular hydrated dermis overcomes the limitations with comparable results, since it avoids a second surgical site and reduces postoperative discomfort.
