ABSTRACT

When we refer to doctors from Villa Clara, we can not avoid mentioning Dr. Rafael Corona Pérez, a Cuban doctor who has devoted his whole life to the service of the country and to the fulfillment of the principle of internationalism and socialist medicine. These reasons have placed him at key moments in the struggle for the preservation and defense of humanity. Showing the important aspects of the doctor's life history as a prominent figure of Cuban public health who had not been investigated until now, was the objective of this research. Undoubtedly, Dr. Rafael Corona Pérez is an important personality of revolutionary medicine in Cuba; his life should be disclosed to future generations of health professionals who are trained in Cuban medical universities.
