ABSTRACT

Suicide causes in adolescence can be complex and they involve various factors. A cross-sectional descriptive study was done with the aim of detecting suicide risk in pregnant adolescents belonging to the policlinic 13 de Marzo in Bayamo, Granma, from January 2017 to January 2018. The universe included 49 pregnant adolescents; the sample included 42 pregnant adolescents. Semistructured interviews were made to detect suicide risks, and risk factors associated. A practical guide internationally validated was used to evaluate the risk. It was also used the SPSS 22 version to do the statistical analysis (descriptive statistics). The 35, 7 % of pregnant adolescents had suicide risk factor, the most relevant risk factor was the lack of harmony with their parents (66, 7 %). It is concluded that it is of great importance the identification of the suicide risk factors in adolescents and the adequate management to prevent suicide.
