Accelerated orthodontics with support of corticotomies in an adult patient

ABSTRACT

Clinical case of adult patient, systemically healthy, radiographically short roots are observed in upper central incisors and premolars of both arches, so that corticotomies were performed without a flap using a piezoincision as an adjunct to orthodontic treatment to stimulate the accelerated regional phenomenon. The clinical changes were successful; orthodontic treatment time was significantly reduced with favorable results in root resorption and malocclusion solution.
