ABSTRACT

Histoplasmosis is a systemic, endemic mycosis that is globally distributed, with a strong predominance in temperate and humid areas. It presents a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations that vary according to the infecting load and the immune response of the host. Cutaneous signs occur in 40-80% of cases in Latin America. In the following article, we describe the case of a patient with cutaneous histoplasmosis. We also carry out a brief review of the literature.
