Introducing Prosthodontics Emergencies Educational Software

ABSTRACT

Introduction: information and communication technologies improvement, contribute to student’s independence, in Cuba.
Objective: to create an educational software about prosthodontics emergencies.
Method: research was carried out at Artemio Mastrapa dental clinic, from July 2014 to July 2016. Theoretical methods, such as analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, and empiric methods such as documental review and interview were used.
Results: a simple educative software with attractive designs, free movements, contents, exercises, and images about prosthodontics emergencies in dentistry. Teachers consider it an attractive with contents, exercises, pictures, technique and words for student´s comprehension. Motivational, utility, free and easy movements were referred by students.
Conclusions: software created can be used by teachers and students. It was considered useful.
