ABSTRACT

In Brazil the Government and the Academy have instituted family health programs that unfortunately have not fulfilled the necessities of the people, nor the expectations of the professionals. The Sociedad Brasileira de Medicina Familiar (SOBRAMFA) is pursuing the establishment of scientific and academic basis to promote the development of Family Medicine in the Universities and clinics.
