ABSTRACTDermatophytoses are infections caused by keratinophilic fungi. We present the case of a five-years-old male with dermatosis located in the posterior thorax, constituted by an erythematosquamous plaque 10 cm diameter with active border covered with pustules. The mycological study showed Microsporum gypseum. Treatment was established with calcium acetate and aluminum sulfate wet dressing and oral terbinafine 62.5 mg per day for three months until healing was achieved.
