ABSTRACT

Renal transplantation is currently the treatment of choice in patients with terminal renal failure. The causes of terminal renal failure in Cuba are the same as in developed countries, diabetes mellitus, hypertension and glomerulopathies as the first three. In the surgery of the transplant the reconstruction of the right renal vein facilitates the venous anastomosis.
