ABSTRACT

The necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a common disease in premature babies. In these neonates, as much as smaller is weight of these babies the frequency of this disease is higher. It is a commonly surgical emergency seen neonatal intensive care units (NICU). In these units, it is not rare to be in the dilemma of the surgical treatment of babies smaller than 1,000 g of body weight or to take care the babies by a primary peritoneal drainage. He was treated with abdominal drainage and survive and go to home with 1,800 g of body weight.
