The Pepper syndrome in a neonate

ABSTRACT
It is presented the clinical case of a neonate of 25 days of age. Since he was borne he showed a progressive clinical evolution with abdominal distension, fatigue at feeding and constipation. The clinical exam show the abdominal distension with veinosity and a great hepatomegaly and breathing with difficulty when he was feed. By the studies done and the clinical data, the final diagnosis was a neuroblastoma tumor with massive metastasis to the liver which was identified as a Pepper Syndrome. In spite of the tumor was extirpated and he started to received chemotherapy, he died. In this report it is informed some issues related to the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of this patients.
