Fournier’s gangrene: generalities

ABSTRACT

Fournier’s gangrene is a rare pathology, more frequent in men than in women, but with quite high mortality rates. Which is characterized by rapidly progressive necrotizing fasciitis of the perianal and genitourinary area, associated with various risk factors. Given the high mortality and complications, it is essential to know the clinical and imaging findings that may suggest this pathology for an opportune diagnosis, for the early and aggressive treatment of this pathology.
