ABSTRACT

Atypical fibroxanthoma is a rare tumor of intermediate malignacy of fibroblastic origin, considered by most authors as a superficial form of malignant fibrous histiocytoma. Usually presentation is in photoexposed areas of the skin like head and neck region of elderly people. We report a case of a atypical fibroxanthoma with an atypical presentation in a young man of 35 years old without pathological personal history, located in the pectoral region, and we make a brief review on the subject.
