ABSTRACT

Postmortem studies of organophosphorus compounds and the determination of their metabolites in individuals are a very important tool for the application of justice, since in our environment, there is a high percentage of suicides and homicides due to the use of these substances. In this article we present the kinetics, the mechanism of action and its determination in forensic tests, focusing the cause of death of the victim at a molecular level.
