The dilemma of the surgical reinterventions

ABSTRACT

Objective: everything justifies the necessity to deepen in the main cognitive aspects related to reinterventions, in order to elevate the assistance quality and, with that premise, the index of survival of those who present that type of postsurgical complication.
Development: at the present time the diversity of approaches related to reinterventions constitutes a true scientific problem, since it is of great importance to identify the factors that allow to recognize the amendable conditions that diminish the complications and deaths for this cause, mainly in the aged population as vulnerable group.
Conclusions: although the great current technological advance in the diagnostic and therapeutic methods has allowed the patients with postsurgical complications to be reintervened with higher security, morbidity and mortality are still high.
