ABSTRACT

We present the case of an old man 21 years old, who ingested Taktic (Amitraz) in attempted suicide, the patient presented deep coma, bradycardia and hypertension. He was manage in the intensive care unit, he required mechanical ventilation support, the patient regain consciousness thirteen hours afterwards his income to the ICU and twenty hours afterwards he ingested the toxic. We discuss the clinical manifestations, treatment, and complication of poisoning by amitraz, an alpha 2 agonist.
